Many of us have purchased online courses with the sincere intention of changing our lives. We begin enthusiastically, watch a few lessons, download the workbookโand then the course quietly disappears into a folder.
The problem is not always motivation. Sometimes the course is simply standing alone. It has not yet been connected to our deeper questions, our daily lives, our creative work, or a community of people learning alongside us.
A personal learning ecosystem is different. It is not one course, one teacher, or one platform. It is a living network of questions, resources, experiences, conversations and practices that grows with you over time.
At Khristiane Woods Studio, I am creating this kind of ecosystem for curious, thoughtful learners. I explore courses that are meaningful to me, as well as courses that are meaningful to my students. I review them on Substack, share selected resources through this blog, and create short interactive Articulate experiences so that others can learn alongside me.
Over the coming weeks, I will explore seven parts of a living learning ecosystem:
- Begin with a living question.
- Build with meaningful resources.
- Contemplate what resonates.
- Create a response from what you learn.
- Learn alongside others.
- Seek guidance when needed.
- Structure the ecosystem so it can evolve.
Each part will become its own exploration, with ideas, examples, course reflections and opportunities to learn together.
